So last night was awsome! I went to Hollywood with my brother Tom and his girlfriend Laura, and we all had to see a movie at the Egyptian Theatre for our History of Cinema II class. I believe the correct spelling was "Quo Vadis, Baby?" it was a Italian film, released this year. It's about a woman, Giorgia, who works for her father as one of his Private Investigators (You know, the people that secretly take the dirty photos of you while your out doing your dirty acts) and out of the blue, a box of tapes arrives at her apartment. These tapes contain the life of her sister, Ada, whom had left for Rome with her newly wed husband many years ago. 16 years ago Ada killed herself, and now Giorgia wonders why this happened. This leads her through hoops and tricks to find more information.
The movie was excellent! And to top it all off, after the movie credits had rolled, we were treated to a surprise; the lead actress Angela Baraldi (who played Giorgia) was there to answer questions!! It's one thing to watch a movie and talk about it with your friends, but another to actually talk about it with the LEAD ACTRESS! So needless to say, it was incredible!
So we arrived at Hollywood at 7pm, and the movie starts at 8:30, so we go out and explore Hollywood Blvd. We took pictures of the Chinese Theatre and saw some crazy dressed up guys from other movies, even a Darth Vader and Stormtrooper! I had my picture taken next to the cement block of Kevin Baker(R2D2), Anthony Daniels(C-3P0), and David Prowse's(Darth Vader) shoe prints! (except for Kevin's, because his feet really don't look like three rectangles!)
And we got to eat at the Soon to be Relatively Famous Hooters of Hollywood!! I was dismayed because there were no asians hosting.
So that was my evening. It was great! But we got stuck in traffic on the way home, and we left the theatre at 5 minutes to 11, and we got home at 12:10. I fell asleep when I walked through the door.
